An earthquake measuring 5. 5 on the Richter scale rocked Bengkulu Province of Sumatra Island, in Indonesia today. Indonesian meteorological department said the quake occurred at 11.46 a.m. Jakarta time and was epicentered 64 km northwest Bintuhan town at a depth of 26 km under the sea bed. There are no immediate reports of any damage or casualties.
