With the fate of the series now decided, India and Pakistan will play the third and final ODI at New Delhi tomorrow as just a formality. The visitors have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead with a victory in the previous match at Kolkata. The collective failure of the top order batsmen even in home conditions has hurt the team badly in recent times and the hosts will need a huge spark of inspiration to prevent the spirited Pakistanis from achieving a 3-0 clean sweep. Leaving aside his captaincy skills, M.S.Dhoni has been the only Indian player to have a decent run with the bat in the series. He will need to keep it up as he tries to save the Indian side from collapsing again. When compared to the batsmen, India's bowlers are much better of as they have been covering their bases quite effectively in all recent matches. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been latest find with Ravindra Jadeja who was instrumental in Pakistan's middle order collapse will be playing the third ODI.Pakistan's opener Nasir Jamshed has been in terrific form in this series. His partner Mohd. Hafeez has also not been far behind. Pakistan's bowling attack has also exceeded all expectations the series. The hosts lost the first game in Chennai by six wickets and the second in Kolkata by 85 runs to give their arch foes their first series win on Indian soil since 2004-05.
