India and Myanmar have decided to step up vigilance at the border. The two countries have also agreed to enhance security cooperation to combat insurgent groups and arms smuggling.<br/><br/>According to external affairs ministry, Foreign secretary Ms Nirupama Rao discussed various issues with the deputy foreign minister of Mayanmar U Maung Myint at Nay Pyi Taw. <br/><br/>Both the countries agreed to convene the fourth joint trade committee meeting in New Delhi to further strengthen partnership in the field of trade and commerce. Expanding the existing border trade items from 22 to 40 was also discussed.<br/>
