Indo-China trade through Nathula begins today

This year’s Indo-China border trade through Nathula in Sikkim began today. However, the enthusiasm was marred by an accident, injuring two of the Customs Officials on their way to the Nathula check post. No business could take place on the first day, hence.<br/><br/> As per the bilateral agreement between the two countries, 29 items can be exported to Tibet Autonomous Region from Sikkim while the traders from that side of border can send only 15 items to this side of the border.<br/><br/> The business takes place from May to November every year, four days a week ,from Monday to Thursday , starting at 7:30in the morning till 3:30 in the afternoon.
