Bangladesh today emphasized the need of strengthening bilateral relations with India.

Addressing the business delegation from India and Bangladesh at Agartala, in Tripura, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that a good neighbour is what Bangladesh needs.

She further said that South Asian Region have the common problem that is poverty. Ms Hasina said a united strategy is needed to fight against this problem. She further said that no country can progress alone and the most important is the neighbouring nation.

Ms. Hasina said in order to improve the condition of people; there should be a good bilateral relation within all the South Asian Region. She further said that India and Bangladesh share a very good relation and the visit of both the Prime Ministers helped the growth of this relation.
