India and Bangladesh have decided to jointly inaugurate the border Haat trade by June this year. This was decided following the delegation level talks held between Indian delegation led by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma and the Bangladesh delegation led by his counterpart Farooq Khan in Dhaka today.Addressing a joint press conference at the end of the talks, Farooq Khan said that India has agreed to increase export quota for readymade garments from Bangladesh to ten million pieces from the present eight million pieces for this year. Sharma said that India has provided a draft for the modalities of transit trade through Chittagong and Mongla Port. He expressed the hope that the two countries will be able to resolve issues relating to transit trade soon. He also said that India is ready to provide three lakh tonnes of rice and two lakhs tonnes of wheat to Bangladesh.
