Indo-Arab Ayurveda Festival got underway at India Trade and Exhibition Centre (ITEC) in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on Wednesday. It was inaugurated by the Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ahmed Mohammed Al Midfa while the Indian Consul General at Dubai Sanjay Verma was the Guest of Honour at the opening ceremony. The four-day festival is expected to boost medical tourism in India which has been conceived to promote Ayurveda system of medicine in the Middle East region. The fair is being organized by ITEC for the 1st time internationally with the support of Ayush and Kerala State Cooperate for Ayurveda, Care Kerala. Famous Indian Ayurvedic products, health packages and treatments are being promoted in this festival under one roof. Leading team of Academicians in Ayurveda and exponents from the Ayurvedic field from different states of India shall be present at this event. Seminars on common diseases among Expats and the various Ayurvedic remedies shall be one of the highlights of the fest.
