The BJP President Mr. Nitin Gadkari asserted that indiscipline in the party will not be tolerated and only those people will be given party work who perform. He was asked a volley of questions on the indiscipline in the party which plagued the party in the recent past. Addressing his maiden press conference in New Delhi on Thursday after taking over as party Chief, Mr. Gadkari said that there is no change in party's stand on the temple and other major issues and urged the party rank and foil to work in close coordination irrespective of caste, creed, colour and religion to improve the quality of life of the poor and downtrodden. Dismissing reports that RSS is directing the saffron party, Mr. Gadkari said, strengthening the BJP and NDA is among his first priorities as party believes in equal respect for all the faiths. He said that the party will attempt to win over those sections of people who are not yet supporting the party as he has the support of the entire top leadership. Mr. Gadkari urged the Chief Ministers of the BJP ruled states ruled to ensure good governance and development is his mantra. <br/><br/>Criticizing the secular parties for their inability in dealing with terrorism and naxalism, he called for strong measures to eradicate this menace. He warned that this a grave challenge to the nation and needs to be dealt with resolutely. Mr. Gadkari said that his party will extend all support to the government for effectively dealing with these issues. <br/>
