A major mishap was averted this morning, when the pilot of the Indigo flight heading towards New Delhi from Hyderabad landed the aircraft safely at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur following an emergency situation.

All the 130 persons on the board including passengers and the crew members are safe and the passengers would be taken to New Delhi by the another plane which would leave Nagpur later in the afternoon.

As per the information received from the Airport authorities, the pilot came to know about some technical snag following an alarm during the flight.

He immediately sought the permission to make an emergency landing at Nagpur airport and landed the flight safely.

Meanwhile, the necessary investigations with regard to the technical snag of the aircraft and repairs are being undertaken at Nagpur airport at present.
