Donyi Polo Cultural & Charitable Trust and Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh today celebrated 'Indigenous Faith Day' at Pasighat with religious fervour.<br />'' <br />'' Buddha guru seventh Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche of Himachal Pradesh Dharamsala, accompanied by Secretary General of International Buddhist Confederation Ven Dr Dhammapiya and several other dignitaries and foreign delegates graced the programme at Central Donyi Polo Central Gangging Pasighat.<br />''<br />'' Addressing the occasion, Guru Rinpoche said, tribal people of the northeast India are gradually losing indigenous faiths and ancient religious practices, which is enriched with humanity, love and spiritual traditions. He suggested organizers to continue their efforts for protection, promotion and propagation of the indigenous faith and traditional customs. <br />'' <br />'' Chief Minister Pema Khandu in his address said protection and promotion of the indigenous faith and tribal tradition is need of the hour to keep the ethnic identity of the local tribes. Laying stress on the establishment of institution for educating people on indigenous faith and traditional ethos of the local tribes, assured that the government would grant fund to run the institutions.<br />''  <br />
