Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman, today said, India's trade engagements with Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN ) has accelerated to about 80 billion US dollars which will reach to about 100 Billion US dollars by next year and could double by 2022. She was speaking at the inaugural function of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam (CLMV) Business Conclave in New Delhi. The Minister said India's 'Look East' policy has always been a major pillar for foreign affairs which now focuses on 'Act East.' Speaking at the Conclave Mrs. Sitharaman said, culture, commerce and connectivity with the CLMV countries will be the major areas of concerns to be discussed. She also added, the government will also try to establish connect between North Eastern part of India and CLMV countries.
