Country's exports grew by 0.8 per cent in January to 25.5 billion US dollars. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi today, Commerce Secretary S R Rao said, India's exports rose an annual 0.8 per cent in January and imports for the month rose 6 per cent, leaving a trade deficit of 20 billion US dollars. Mr Rao said, India's exports have fallen since last year as the demand slowed from major sales destinations, adding to the country's economic gloom and heightening worries about its trade and current account deficits.
