According to the Indian Tea Association, ITA, country's tea production rose to 1,200 million kilograms during last year as against 1,126 million kilograms a year ago.Exports during the nine-month period from January to September 2013 also went by 5 per cent. CIS countries imported maximum of 39.88 million kgs of Indian tea during this period, followed by Iran with 16.47 milllion kgs, Pakistan 12.35 million kgs and the US 10.29 million kg, among other countries.
