Union Steel Ministry has aimed at 200 million tonnes of steel production by 2020. Releasing the agenda for the next 100 days for his ministry in New Delhi on Tuesday, Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verma said proactive measures will be taken to ensure time bound progress for all Public Sector projects. The agenda also comprises points like issues of policy paper in Research and Development, R and D intervention in Indian Steel Industry, constitution of project review committee for monitoring R and D projects and re- issue of quality control orders for steel products.
