External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today said India's stature has increased significantly in the comity of nations during last three years. Briefing media on the achievements of her Ministry during three years of NDA rule, Mrs Swaraj said India enjoys good relations with West Asian countries including Israel and Palestine. She stressed that India will not let down the Palestinian cause at any cost, and Israel also knows this. <br/><br/>On China's objections to India's bid for NSG membership, the Minister said the objections are not justified as India's criteria was proved in 2008 waiver and it's credentials are solid. She said country is in talks with its friends to convince China on this matter. <br/><br/><br/>The Minister said there is no trouble in India US relations under US President Donald Trump's administration and relations are as good as they were earlier. She says US sees relations with India as mutually beneficial. <br/><br/>On the H1B visa issue, the Minister said there is no change in visa cap but India is worried about the changes and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will raise the issue when he visits the US. She said there are several amendments that can not be made without Congressional approval and India is in contact with Trump administration, Congressmen and other stakeholders.<br/><br/>Replying to a question on One Belt One Road, she said India has had many connectivity projects before OBOR and it is not in principle opposed to connectivity. She said the connectivity should not infringe on territorial integrity and sovereignty of any nation. She said China Pakistan Economic Corridor is in now way acceptable to India as it passes through its territory. '<br/><br/>Replying to a query, Mrs Swaraj said India's ratification of the Paris Climate Deal was not for greed or money, but simply due to its centuries' old commitment towards the environment and its conservation. She asserted that India will keep its commitments whether US remains in the Paris accord or not.<br/><br/>Mrs Swaraj said the Ministry has ensured security of Indians living abroad. She told reporters that 80 thousand people stranded abroad were successfully brought back to India in last three years without spending any money from the government budget. <br/><br/>She added that Indian missions are playing proactive role in attracting FDI bringing and there has been a record 37.5 percent increase in FDI in last three years. She also mentioned many citizen-centric decisions including simplification of passport rules.
