India's Srikanth K. today stormed into the finals of the Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold Badminton tournament in Bangkok.In the Men's Singles semi-finals, 13th seed Srikanth brushed aside Thammasin Sitthikom of Thailand, 21-14, 21-18, to book a place in the finals.Srikanth will now play the winner of the second semi-final match between top seed Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand and Indonesia's Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo.He is the lone Indian left in the tournament. On Friday, defending champion Saina Nehwal made a shock exit from the tournament, after losing to Juan Gu of Singapore, 21-13, 12-21, 18-21 in the Women's Singles quarterfinals.HS Prannoy also lost his Men's Singles last-eight match on Friday.
