In Tennis, India's Somdev Dev varman progressed to the singles quarter-finals of the ATP South Africa Open with a straight-set win over Netherland's, Jesse Huta Galung at Johannesburg on Wednesday. Somdev defeated the giant killer 6-3, 6-4. This was the first meeting between the 110-ranked Somdev and Galung, who is placed 10 places below the Indian on the ATP ranking chart. Somdev will now face Rik de Voest of South Africa in the quarter-finals.In the other matches, three-seeded players, including top-seed and world number 33, Feliciano Lopez of Spain, were also knocked out from the ATP 250 tournament.
