India's nuclear power capacity is expected to reach 10080 mega watt by 2018-19. It will further expand to thrice the present capacity of 5780 mega watt by 2024. <br/><br/>Minister of State in PMO Jitendra Singh stated this in the Lok Sabha today. In a written reply he said the government intends to introduce a Bill to give statutory powers to the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, the national regulator for nuclear energy.
