In Invitational Archery Commonwealth test event, Chungda Sherpa and Gagandeep Kaur bagged the silver medals in the individual compound category as India's medal tally swelled to seven on the fourth day of the game at the Yamuna Sports Complex at Delhi today. National champion Chinna Raju Srither also added up to the India's medal tally as he settled for the bronze medal in the men's individual event.These were the first medals in the individual categories, following the two gold (Recurve), a silver and a bronze (Compound) metals in the Team Championships yesterday. India's men coumpond archers though couldn't pull off the first place but shone with the silver and bronze medals. Chungda (30,27,28,26,27) started off well to move ahead of Muhammad Zaki Mahazan (29,29,29,26,29) but couldn't carry his momentum towards the end as his Malaysian rival pulled off the victory. Srither (29,29,27,30), who settled for the bronze medal, put up some good scores to defeat his compatriot Isaiad Rajender Sanam (28,27,28,27) in third place play-off. The bronze medal was claimed by Nichola Simpson from England after amassing scores of 28, 28, 28, 29.
