India's left arm leg spinner Kuldeep Yadav has become the first bowler to strike a hattrick in the ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup. He achieved this feat against Scotland in a Group-A match in Dubai today. In his fifth over Kuldeep had Farrar caught by Hooda , then struck Stirling plumb LBW in front of the wicket on the last two balls. Then on the very first delivery of the sixth over, he bowled Baum to get his first ever hattrick.

Scotland won the toss and elected to bat first. But an excellent bowling performance by the Indian spinners saw wickets falling like a pack of cards. Except for the opener Andrew Ummeed who scored 44 and GTMain who made 16 runs no player could reach to a double digit. Scotland were finally bundled out for 88 runs in 29.4 overs.

For India, Leggie Kuldeep Yadav and off spinner Abdul Ghani bagged a haul of four wickets each. Pacemen CV Milind and Avesh Khan got a wicket each. India has now to chase a victory target of 89 against Scotland in the match.
