Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that India would maintain a zero tolerance attitude towards terrorism and ensure to work to maintain peace and stability in the region.<br/><br/>He was addressing the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.<br/><br/>Mr.Modi said that interdependent world of 21st century is full of economic opportunities and connectivity of the countries of the region is crucial for our economic prosperity. Mr.Modi said, India's entry into the group will bring happiness and security in the region.<br/><br/>Prime Minister said that India as full member of the block would increase group's geographical boundaries from the pacific to Europe and from Arctic to India Ocean, and we would represent forty percent of humanity and over a billion youth. He said, he is confident that India's engagement with all SCO members will help build a region which is engine of economic growth for the world.<br/><br/>Referring to Afghanistan's geo political situation in the group, he said that a stable, independent and peaceful Afghanistan is required for regional security and prosperity. Mr.Modi said that India will be benefited by the inclusion in the group as there is enormous potential in energy and natural resources. He said that economies of the SCO member countries will also be benefited in the areas of trade, information technology, agriculture and health care. He said India will take part in the next SCO to be held at Kazakhstan next year.
