India's GSLV MK III rocket ready for launch early next year

The first developmental flight of India's GSLV MK III rocket is ready for launch early next year. It will put satellites weighing upto four tonne in desired orbits. Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh gave this information in the Lok Sabha today. <br/><br/>He told the House in a written reply that the country's latest Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle, GSLV MK II is also to be launched soon. It has had three successful experimental flights so far. Powered by indigenous cryogenic engines, it is capable of carrying a weight of 150 kilogram into the solar orbit. He added that ISRO is going to involve the country's industry in commercial launch services.
