India's foreign exchange reserves have soared by 2.95 billion US dollars to touch a new lifetime high of 333.169 billion US dollars for the week ended 13th February. A RBI press release has informed that foreign currency assets, a major part of the overall reserves, increased by 2.299 billion US dollars to 307.257 billion US dollars in the reporting week. Last week, the reserves had soared by a whopping 2.33 billion US dollars to touch a high of 330.213 billion US dollars. India's gold reserves remained unchanged at 20.183 million US dollars, while the special drawing rights fell by 5.1 million US dollars to 4.089 billion US dollars. India's reserve position with the IMF, however went up by 661.9 million US dollars to 1.64 billion US dollars during the reporting week.
