India's first ODI against Sri Lanka in Hambontota on Saturday<br/>

The Indian team begins their cricketing season tomorrow after a seven week break, when they play first of the five ODIs against Sri Lanka in Hambontota. The visitors will also take on Sri Lanka in the lone T20 match on the 7th of next month. All the matches are Day/Night matches to be played in different parts of Sri Lanka. Barring the Indian Premier League, the Mahendra Singh Dhoni led Indian team have not been in action since their last international outing in South Africa in March. For Sri Lanka, it will be an immediate series after the long ODI, T20 and test series against Pakistan. Before arriving in Colombo on Wednesday, Dhoni had echoed the Indians&apos; familiarity with Sri Lankan conditions and exuded confidence to start the season on a good note. After this tour, India will host New Zealand, play the World Twenty-20 Championships and then host England and Pakistan at the end of the year.
