India's first navigational Satellite IRNSS 1A to be launched tonight

The pre launch preparations are in full swing for the launch of PSLV C-22 at the Sathish Dhawan Space Centre Sriharikota PSLV C-22 will be carrying India's first regional navigational satellite IRNSS 1A which will be injected into the orbit twenty minutes after the scheduled take off at 11.41 pm.

With the launch of the first navigational satellite, India will take its first step of joining the list of countries like US, Russia, China and a few European countries.

In a constellation of seven satellites which is to be completed around 2015, the Country's own navigation system will be creating a vast difference at various levels of communication.
