India's exports grew by 81.8% in July

Commerce Secretary Rahul Khullar today said that India's exports grew by an impressive 81.8 per cent to 29.3 billion Dollars in July. Talking to reports in New Delhi he said that imports grew by 51.5 per cent to 40.4 billion Dollars, leaving a trade deficit of 11.1 billion Dollars. Mr. Khullar said that exports have done well but it is not going to sustain and we will see a slowdown by this month.Sectors, which have registered healthy growth, during the period, include engineering, petroleum products, gems and jewellery and readymade garments.
