The International Air Transport Association, IATA in its latest report for the month of September has said that India, Europe and Russia have been the three big stories in September. Indian domestic travel spiked with a 26.3 per cent growth in September which is several times higher than the 7.6 per cent growth recorded in August as a result of price stimulation. The volume is much higher when compared to 4 per cent in Europe and 5.6 per cent in Russia. The report says the improvements in growth rates are a result of revived confidence over the new business-supportive government and the market stimulation measures introduced by air carriers.
