India's crude oil production has gone up by 16 per cent in December. This is because of the higher output from non-state companies like Cairn India. According to the data released by oil ministry in New Delhi today India pumped out the highest monthly output of 3.34 million tons of crude oil in December. State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) saw a 0.4 per cent drop in its production to 2.1 million tonnes while Oil India Limited has reported a 2 per cent increase in its output.
