India's accreditation system under the Quality Council of India has been ranked 5th in the world. The global quality Infrastructure Index ranks the 184 economies across the world on the basis of the quality infrastructure. The accreditation helps establish the competence and credibility of conformity assessment bodies which perform testing, certification and inspection.<br />'' <br />'' Chairperson, Quality Council of India Jaxay Shah has said the government is committed to make Made in India a globally trusted brand on the foundations of quality and credibility.
