In Haryana, the country`s first Global Centre for Nuclear Energy Partnership will be established at Kheri Jassaur village in over 366 acres near Bahadurgarh. The centre will carry out research in the field of nuclear security, radiological safety, advanced nuclear energy systems and application of radioisotopes technologies. A Government spokesman said that the centre would have four schools dealing with advanced nuclear energy system studies, nuclear security,radiation safety and application of radioisotopes and radiation technology in health care, agriculture and food. The centre will also conduct short term training courses for international experts.The centre would seek cooperation from France, Russia and United States in research of development of secure and proliferation-resistant reactor systems Atomic Energy Commission chairman Dr Sri Kumar Bannerjee had already made a presentation to Chief Minister Bhupender Singh Hooda in this regard on Friday at chandigarh.
