India,Russia target doubling bilateral trade to USD 20 billion by 2015

India and Russia have decided to double their bilateral trade volume to 20 billion US dollar by 2015. The decision was taken following the Russian Indian Inter-Governmental Commission on military-technical, trade, economic, scientific and cultural cooperation meeting led by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Mr. Dmitry Rogozin and External Affairs Minister Mr. S.M. Krishna in New Delhi today. In a joint press statement Mr. Krishna said that the Inter-session meeting focus on economic aspects and cooperation of strategic sector.

India also sought definite solution to certain problems faced by the Indian businessmen in Russia. Both the sides also decided set up a joint working group to explore ways on enhancing trade and commerce.
