Indians are continuing to dominate the 39th Chess Olympiad, now under way in Russia. At Khanty Mansiysk, both the men's and women's teams coasted to fine victories over their opponents. The men's team defeated International Committee of Silent Chess (ICSC) with a score of three and a half points to half a point. The women's team beat Indonesia by an identical margin. Yesterday, led by Dronavalli Harika, Indian women started off with a clean 4-nil first round victory over Albania. The Indian Men also scored a similar win over Wales. As many as 32 teams in the open and 27 in the women's section share the lead on four points each after the second round. In the open, as many as four teams from Russia are in the leading group while in the women's section two Russian teams are sharing the honours among others.
