In Australia, an Indian man was brutally assaulted by a group of teenagers with baseball bats in Melbourne. According to media reports , the 21- year old Indian was walking to Sandown Park rail station when four teenage boys on bikes approached him and asked him if he was an Indian. Police official Jo Hayden said they hit him with baseball bats from behind. Two passers-by took him home. Hayden said another Indian was attacked last Tuesday night, but refused to comment if it was racially motivated.
