Indian Women's Archery Team qualify seventh at Asian Games

With an aggregate total of 1908 points of best three individual archers, Indian Women's Archery Team qualified seventh at the Asian Games in Jakarta today.

A par below shot in the 10th set pushed ace Indian archer Deepika Kumari to the 17th position among 66 archers, who qualified in the individual recurve ranking. Other Indians in fray, Promila Daimary was 21st while left-handed Ankita Bhakat qualified 36th. The fourth Indian in the mix, Laxmirani Majhi was placed 44th.

 India will play Mongolia in the round of 16 and are likely to face Chinese Taipei in the quarterfinals.
