Indian women weightlifters won five bronze medals on the opening day of the Senior Asian Championships at Tongling City in China today. 48kg lifter Kh Sanjita Chanu won two bronze medals. In clean and jerk, she tallied 90kg and in total, she had a lift of 158kg. The other three bronze came through Matsa Santoshi in the 53kg category. She won the medals in snatch (70kg), clean and jerk (88kg) and total lift (158kg). Commonwealth Games gold medallist Katulu Ravi Kumar is competing in men's 69kg category while Chandreshori Devi is taking part in women's 58kg.
