Indian women suffer four-wicket loss against Australia in T20 tri-series

Indian women suffered a four-wicket loss against Australia in their second match of the T20 tri-series at Canberra today. India scored 103 for nine in 20 overs after being asked to bat. Elysse Perry picked up four wickets before making 49 off 47 balls in Australia's chase.
Opener Smriti Mandhana top scored for India with 35 while Harmanpreet made 28.

India lost their last six wickets for 21 runs with Harmanpreet, Taniya Bhatia and Deepti Sharma falling prey to pacer Perry in the 14th over.
India had beaten England in the tournament opener while Australia had lost to England in a Super Over finish yesterday leaving all three teams with a win each.

India next plays against England at the Junction Oval in Melbourne on the 7th of next month. The tri-series is an important preparatory event ahead of the T20 World Cup beginning in Australia on Friday.
