Indian women hockey team losses to Germany on South Africa tour

In Hockey, Indian women's team suffered its second successive loss in as many days against Germany on their South African tour. In a nail-biting finish at Stellenbosch last evening, world no. 8 Germans scored on a penalty corner in the dying seconds of the game to clinch it by 3-2. Forwards player Anuradha Devi Thokchom and Defender Sunita Lakra scored the two goals for India. Earlier on Saturday , Indian eves suffered their first defeat on the tour losing nil-3 to the Germans. India will next play Scotland tomorrow evening to sign off the African tour. The tour is being seen as a good exposure for Indian team that has qualified for Olympics for the first time in 36 years.
