Indian women shuttlers spanked Nepal 5-0 to sail into the badminton event's team finals in the 11th South Asian Games in Dhaka on Sunday. The Indian eves will take on Sri Lanka for the team gold tomorrow at the Woodenfloor Gymnasium courts.Sayali Gokhale gave India a flying start when the Maharashtra shuttler sailed past Saradevi Tamang 21-6 21-12 in 28 minutes. PC Thulasi of Kerala then thrashed Sujana Shrestha 21-4 21-4 in 20 minutes to make it 2-0. Karnataka's Ashwini Ponnappa spanked Nangsal Tamang 21-13 21-9 in 17 minutes as India clinched the issue 3-0. The duo of Shruti Kurien-Aparna Balan and Ashwini-Thulasi then completed the formalities in the doubles to make it a 5-0. In the other semis, Sri Lanka thrashed hosts Bangladesh 5-0 enroute to the final.
