A group of probationers of the Indian Trade Service today called on the President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Addressing the probationers, the President said, they are entering into a very challenging field and they have to constantly update themselves and get equipped with the latest digital and information technology. Mr Mukherjee advised them to keep in mind that in the globalized world, their role has been transformed from being a trade regulator to trade facilitator. He said, the probationers will have to play a very important role in the advancement, promotion and facilitation of trade.
