Indian test squad against Australia announced

Out-of-form Yuvraj Singh was dropped, while young Saurashtra batsman Cheteshwar Pujara was selected in the 15-member Indian squad for the two-test series against Australia, starting from October 1 in Mohali. The team for the Tests was announced by BCCI Secretary N. Srinivasan in Chennai yesterday after a meeting of the National Selection Committee headed by its Chairman Krish Srikkanth. The 15 members of the squad for the Test series are: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Capt), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, V V S Laxman, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Amit Mishra, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, S Sreesanth, Pragyan Ojha, M Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara. Selection Committee said that the criteria for the selection of the team was performance and fitness.
