An Indian student has been critically stabbed In Britain.
The student Praveen Reddy was stabbed in the London borough of Newham last night.
Scotland Yard said the student had enrolled for an MBA course and he is in hospital in a critical condition. Eleven people were arrested and four remain in custody. The other seven have been released on bail.
It is not clear whether the stabbing incident was motivated by racial hatred.
External Affairs Minister S M Krishna spoke to acting Indian High Commissioner in London on the incident and directed him to give all help to the stabbed student.
Krishna also spoke to the student Praveen Reddy's father and assured him of all support in getting visa.
