The Board of Control for Cricket in India today announced the 15-member squad in Mumbai for first two tests at home against England. All-rounder Hardik Pandya is the lone new face named in the Indian Test squad. Gautam Gambhir retained his spot in the squad after KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan failed to recover from their injuries. Karun Nair has been included in the Test squad in the absence of Rohit Sharma, who suffered an injury during the ODI series against New Zealand.Pacer Ishant Sharma is back and opener Gautam Gambhir has been retained in team for first two Tests. India are currently ranked No.1 in the world after thrashing New Zealand 3-0 at home last month. The visitors will head into the first Test on November 9 in Rajkot. The teams are scheduled to play four more matches in Visakhapatnam, Mohali, Mumbai and Chennai.
