India crushed New Zealand by eight wickets in the fifth and final cricket one-dayer at Chennai on Friday to complete a 5-0 series whitewash. Indian bowlers bundled out the Kiwis for a paltry 103 runs in just 27 overs, the lowest total for New Zeland against India in ODIs. Chasing a meagre 104 for a win, the home side got past the target in 21.1 overs. Parthiv Patel on 56 and Yuvraj Singh on 42, remained unbeaten. Yuvraj was declared the Man of the Match and Stand-in-Captain Gautam Gambhir Man of the Series.It is India's second instance of a 5-0 series whitewash against any country, having achieved the feat against England in 2008-09. It is also the best ever victory against New Zealand by India in one-dayers.
