Akhil Sheoran clinched the silver medal in 50 metre Rifle 3 Position at the 2nd ISSF Junior Cup shooting tournament in Suhl, Germany. This is India's fifth silver medal in the competition. Day four of the tournament also saw the Indian Junior Women's team in the 25 metre Pistol, bag a bronze medal. The troika of Gauri Sheoran, Shreya Gawande and Chinki Yadav shot a combined score of 1719 to finish behind the gold medal winning Russian team and the silver medal winning team from Korea. India's medal tally has now risen to an impressive 11 in the on-going tournament.
