India today hit gold on the second day of the Commonwealth Games with shooters hitting the bull's eye. While Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang won a gold in the 10 metre air rifle pairs event with a new meet record, shooters Anisha Sayyed and Rahi Sarnobat have also won a gold in the 25 metre pistol pairs women event. Sarnobat and Sayyed shot an impressive 1158 to finish ahead of Australia's Lalita Yauhleuskaya and Linda Ryan (1148) and England's Gorgs Geikie and Julia Lydall (1122) in the event. Deepak Sharma and Omkar Singh brought silver in the 50 metre pistol pairs event.Ace marksman Abhinav Bindra, who shot down India's first gold in the 19th Commonwealth Games, said he was relieved that he gave the country the glory for the second time in two years after his Olympic triumph.
