Indian Railways says various measures taken to control and regulate crowds at stations during festive season

<span style="color: #222222;">In the wake of the possibility of an increase in footfall at railway stations during this festive season, Indian railways have undertaken various measures to control and regulate crowds at Railway Stations. <br />''<br />''The Ministry of Railways in a statement today said, all possible efforts will be made to run trains smoothly with the prior display of platform numbers. It said, platforms will not be changed and all rakes, including special trains, will be placed on the platform at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. The Ministry informed that additional passenger waiting areas and amenities, medical and other important facilities will be put in place for the people visiting railways station during this festive season.</span><br />
