The Indian Railways is planning to set up a Sports Academy aimed at producing world class sportspersons. This was stated by the Railway Minister, Mr.Dinesh Trivedi at a function in New Delhi on Tuesday to felicitate the 2011 Arjuna and Dhyanchand awardees belonging to Railways.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister called for a long term plan to boost sports activities which play a key role in the integration of the country. He also underlined the need for encouraging children from their school days. Out of the seven sportspersons, six were Arjuna award winners and one Dhyanchand award winner.
