Indian Railways increased deployment of rakes for coal loading to power houses: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in LS

<span style="color: #222222;">The Indian Railways has increased the deployment of rakes for coal loading to power houses. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today, the Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw said, during the first quarter of the current financial year, Railways deployed an average of 504 rakes per day for transportation of coal to power plants across the country. He said, the coal loading to the power sector during the period has been 434 rakes per day which is 32 percent more than that of the same period in previous year.<br />''<br />''The Minister said, the Railways deployed 504 rakes for transportation of coal to power plants in July 2022 against which coal loading to power sector has been 425 rakes per day till 13th of July. This is 41 percent more than the same period of previous year.</span><br />
