Sri Lankan Cricket legend Arjuna Ranatunga has said that the Indian Premier League is damaging international Cricket. Speaking to the press in Colombo, former Sri Lankan Captain Ranatunga said that he found it absurd that no international Cricket is played for 8 weeks in a year because of the IPL. He added that the tournament is plagued by corruption and allegations of betting and match fixing. He charged the ICC of failing to respond to these allegations.Mr Ranatunga also supported the call given by former English all-rounder, Ian Botham who said Thursday that the Cricket world needs to realize the damage the IPL is doing to world cricket.
