Indian, Pak exchange fire in twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri along LoC

In Jammu and Kashmir, Indian and Pakistani forces exchanged fire in twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri along Line of Control today as Pak troops started unprovoked firing in Krishna Ghati sector targeting border posts and civilian areas.<br/><br/><br/> Defence sources told AIR that around 10:30 am, forces across the border also started firing in adjoining Nowshera, Mankote and Manjakote sectors.<br/><br/><br/>Pakistani forces shelled Indian areas using heavy mortars, automatic and small arms. Indian forces guarding the borderline retaliated and gave a befitting reply to the shelling. Exchange of fire lasted till 3 pm. No report of any fresh causality or injury to Indian side so far.<br/><br/><br/>Last night, Pakistani forces had resorted to heavy shelling and firing in Balakote and Manjakote sectors which left a BSF Jawan martyred and seven security personnel injured. The martyred BSF jawan has been identified as Head Constable Raj Singh of Rohtak in Haryana.
